The sanctuary has a one hundred fifty stretch of shrubs and several trees that attracts a high number of migratory birds. Migrant birds are warblers, sparrows, woodpeckers and many more. You also have Netters at this sanctuary and that includes yellow throats, red-winged blackbirds, mourning doves and brown thrashers. It also offers a stone stair access to the beach and a stone birdbath for the flying birds.
Lincoln Park Addison Migratory Bird Sanctuary does not allow the public in so they have built a platform overlooking the expanded ponds and the whole sanctuary. This sanctuary is a great place to listen and tour with your eyes a wonderful place for birds, plants and other wildlife only. In this sanctuary there is always something blooming and something new blooming every month. At this sanctuary they have volunteers who scatter native seed, plant native species and pick up trash and also monitor the vegetation around the sanctuary.
